Your 'User Name' ......

Gnarly-a term from the 60's that I liked and is still used some today. When I went to get "GNARLY" for my license plate my wife said people wouldn't know what it was but I figured they would. Sure enough most would ask....what's guhnarly, is that your wifes name, or just look puzzled. We decided to go with the phonetic spelling and the lee at the end worked as my middle name is Lee as is my sons and now my grandsons.
As a side story, I picked my on up from school (1st or 2nd grade) and he was talking away and said something was GNARLY. I thought neat, a chip off the old block. Went on to tell him that we used to say that when I was young and of course he explained to me there was no way older people could be that cool. Aren't kids great.

Have worked with a textile company for 29 yrs mainly making industrial sewing thread. Around 25 years ago a buddy was kidding me and calling me "The Thread Baron". It stuck so I use it as a user name.

Those terms sure bring back some memories. How about "doing a Brodie!" (sp?)
I've always been amazed that the term "Cool", has still somehow survived.

When I was in business with my restaurant I used to complain sarcastically to my sister about being in business, so she bought me this little book.....
.....which is full of famous curmudgeons and their favorite sayings. It's a great little book, and in fact there are a few more in the genre I also have. I highly recommend it and them.
She started calling me the Curmudgeon....and one year she bought me personalized plates incorporating my last name Kerr, and Curmudgeon (I actually picked it out) for my birthday. And as they say.....the rest is history. Most educated people get it, and give me a thumbs up or a smile, but a LOT just don't get it or even understand the word....

Long time F/FB-111 'Aardvark' weapons system officer (WSO) back in-the-day. That was a fancy acronym name for navigator/bombardier, or 'guy-in-right' seat.
