i found a split window, matching numbers 327/340HP
the owner lives a couple blocks down from me, I have the chance to buy it. He owns some expensive cars so I know that this vette was taken care of. I can buy it for $86,000 USD. Is that a good deal? Or
If it is a original engine-clean car get it. In 2-years from now if u didn't buy it you'll be kicking yourself. Have a 63 expert check it out.
Just my 2-cents.

Good deal? 86k is a lot of money but it might be a fair price, depending on how much is correct on the car. It looks good in the pictures. It would be interesting to know the vin, since there are no hood blocks. Good luck.
Check build dates ,vin ,Eng. number carb, alternator frame for rust if that's OK .
Then looks like a deal if you want to invest in the 63 ,Just sold mine for 95,000.
Wanted a change after 25 years

The towel does not appear to be original. At least a $14,575 deduction in the value. :-)
As many have said, great price for a SWC, but DO YOUR HOMEWORK and have an expert go over it. Not everything is as it seems and $80K+ is a lot to have an Ahh **** moment over, down the road.

I think that the consensus is quite clear - if the car checks out (be sure to do that due diligence thing), and you have the overhead financial space for it, I would recommend a yes.
Not saying your neighbor is those guys but these cars can have costly defects that can easily escape the unwary or uninformed eye. For over 80K, hire a C2 expert to look it over.

Don't buy it. Drum brakes are unsafe and with that split you can't see behind you.
I disagree my 2 cents i have had drums on all my drivers for 40 yrs. They have all pulled a little at times but never been a problem to me. I always tell people C 2 s drive like nothing else always loved em
