Dropped her off yesterday to put a four-link rear suspension in. Should be done by the end of the month. Then I won't be so nervous about dropping the clutch.
Remember the stock suspension is a 53 year old design. The fact that the entire running gear is Chrysler is a conversation piece. The four link design is realatively new design. It will solve some of the old solid axle issues and still be light weight.

Since you are staying with the live axle, the 4-link is the best option.
Are they keeping the panhard rod, or employing angled links to locate the instant center along the mass centerline?
Will you have adjustment to address the pinion angle and instant center length?
Checked on the car yesterday. All the rear is removed. They are fabbin the 4 bar mounts for the frame and axle. I asked them to drag their feet for another few days as I'm trying to paint the bottom of my little 11 ft sailboat in the garage (it's been in the low 30's) and I need a few more days keep the garage warm so the paint will dry. Vette should be ready next week.
Well you know how that works. I've only had the car a year and I always find things to tinker with, tilt column, fix odometer, rebuild carbs, replace ignition wires, etc. Who knows what's next.
Ahh. Don't cha just love it when things come together. Brought her home yesterday, between the rain, with the new 4 link and coil overs.
Love it. If we get a break in the wx I'll get a chance to run her up my test road. Adjusted the accelerator pumps and I think I got them where they are supposed to be as well. A quick wash job in the morning and she'll shine like a new nickel.
