I will do a follow up on this video in the next few weeks. Editing video takes me about 2-3 hours per minute of watch time. For example, this 6-minute video took 15 hours to edit into a video.

I started barn finds - called Rare Finds - in my magazine writing in 1991 when editors did not understand the interest in this subject. I believe I was the first writer to do barn finds on postwar cars. My first Rare Finds story was in 1991 in Popular Hot Rodding, about hunting muscle cars in Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. My editor was shocked with the high reader interest and my monthly columns, called Rare Finds, started that year - first in Hot Rod Mustang, then in several years later in Muscle Car Review, Mopar Muscle, and Vette. Without email, those early barn finds were very tough to track, sending prints through the mail.

I tried to get TV shows on this subject for years, but did not work out, so youtube is a great outlet for my frustration in this medium. I'm not sure where this is leading, and thanks for watching the video. These stories continue to fascinate me. Thanks - Jerry Heasley

Reminds me of my dad finding this model A pickup back in '74-5. Came out of the shed in the background. I was a kid then but knew it was a neat, so I took my Insatmatic with me.

Thanks for the vid of the '66.

I found this '58 in an actual barn in 2015, parked back in 1971, through the help of a forum member.

One thing you have going for you is you only had to give 7 grand for it. That leaves you a good bit of money to start the rebuild. If that car had been put on ebay it probably would have sold for 4 or 5 times that much or more.
