The frame is one of the worst I have ever seen. The one shot appears to show the side rail split/exploded/expanded due to the build up of something. Can you imagine how the birdcage must be. Maybe this car went under water in the Texas floods...think about the rust patterns on things. Dennis
Also looks like rust stains on the door hinges both sides - maybe dripping down from the birdcage? This one looks like a recipie for an upside down disaster!
At least the pics do show it has had snow exposure.....
And yet Valley Auto has 100% positive feedback on EBay!
Even the gauge cluster mounting screws are rusted -- this car went swimming in the briny seas at some point or was left outside for a long time.
Its a parts car on its best day.
And the (supposed) faux outrage by VA about the seller sticking it to them had me snorting coffee out my nose laughing. If they REALLY bought a turd and can't get remuneration suck it up like professionals and offer the car for a commensurate price without the damned whining.

These guys have been buying and selling for awhile so crying over a car they bought seems a little disingenuous to me. Maybe it's a new selling ploy to garner sympathy. "Look we got shafted so are ignorance is your gain".
On another note, what they say happened to them is what they have done to others in the past.
I've sold many cars but have never mislead by picture angles or leaving out known problems. They did this with a car a friend drove 4-hrs to see.
I too think it's a marketing ploy, and it seems to be working. Sure got our attention.
Looks to me like a typical Pa. car that has been setting in a wet location and sunk into the dirt. I've seen it too many times.

title shows Wisconsin, frame definitely reflects a few winters from that state.
Thanks for posting up the original EBay ad. That shows some interesting things vs Valley Auto.
I notice a large chunk out of one of the K-H wheels. That oughta bring down the value some! Also those pics of the frame show enough rust that any knowledgeable buyer should have known to check further.
I think Valley Auto got either greedy, complacent, or lazy.
If they think they really got cheated on the deal why didn’t they file a complaint with EBays auto buyer protection plan? I think they still think they can make mare money by finding a bigger fool.

plain and simple they bought the car for a few parts namely the wheels. they can be restored and fixed and most likely sold for around 15K. I am sure they took a few other ginger bread items as well. there was a motive behind this buy and if they didn't think they would made money they wouldn't have bought it. they didn't get where they are at by making dumb moves. the car will sell. for how much I don't know but the sum of parts is good enough
This is so typical of these crooks. They bought a friend of mine's 66 convertible off him, they took off the original Teak wheel kept the extra set of wheels the repo knock offs (put the original steel wheels and caps on he gave them) and kept the hard top. Then they put it on eBay for 5 grand more than they paid him. Why anyone would buy from them I will never understand.

I hear what you are saying, and none of what you described makes them crooks.
No, I am not related to them, nor have I done business with them.
They buy and sell used cars and make a living at it. From all the feedback, apparently some people have bought crap cars from them. I bet no one was ever forced to buy anything from them. Buying used cars (or used anything) is risky business. Caveat emptor I believe is latin, which has been around since most people on earth spoke latin. Many people here seem to think that all used car dealers, or at least used corvette dealers are supposed to be saints. Life doesn't work that way.

How does that make them crooks? Once they buy the car, they are free to remove, replace, swap parts any way they want. And they are free to ask any amount they want when they sell it.
They say flat out it needs a new frame. If they lie or make untrue statements, that's fraud and they could be called crooks. I have seen many previous reports claiming they DID do such things so I'm not saying they are choirboys. But in this case I just don't see where all the anger is justified.
