I am with you there for sure......

Like I said before, I am taking care of some issues - some from origin and most from driving the heck out of her over the years. With issues corrected, the paint now should last for decades with proper care and maintenance.

For those that follow the forum, this is my 64 Corvette Restomod originally built by Mike Coletta in 2012. In addition to enjoying this ride, I have - over the years - continued to tinker/upgrade items. After 5 years of driving her, it was time to re-align gaps and take care of the road rash. She is brand new again.

It is so nice, I am wondering whether to keep her or move on to other car projects. I guess if the price is right........

how much?

I have put over 16,000 miles on the Corvette and over the years with the driving I have gotten multiple stone chips and road rash on the front end. You could argue that I could touch up the paint for that - however, the decision was based on issues with my aftermarket stinger hood.

The hood had some internal air bubbles that started to show through and over the years some stress cracking and time in the Florida sun started to slightly warp the fiberglass causing it to have gap issues.

The other reason is that I have become a bit OCD - especially when I compare this project with my 55 Nomad that was an over the top build that was on TV and in magazines.
Hey Dan, the car looks great....Love the Victory Red, I have a 2015 Silverado pick up in Victory Red, and that looks exactly like it..

I'm proud to say I now have your original hood on my car........

Not white any more:

Finally back to its original color of Daytona Blue.... Couldn't have done it without you.....

Good luck with whatever you decide...!

Mark

Lets see, someone states they are thinking about selling their car. Another person ask how much. Yeah, that's a strange question to ask alright.

Hey amigo, maybe he was asking how much the paint job was.

In any case, it’s more likely suited for a PM.

I have been traveling for work the last couple of weeks and extra busy at the office. Today at lunch I managed to breakaway and see my Corvette in person - I will have to arrange to pick her up in about a week given my schedule (argh).

In the meantime - I have got to say, I am going to be nervous driving her home because this Corvette is better than new !!!

Fountain of youth - I dare say better than new!!
Wow......
