Bravo! Love it! I have never understood why these cars were all built with two rear lamps missing.
The sequencer is a very nice touch. I was always tempted to add one to the '66 Impala SS that I owned eons ago, but never got around to scrounging one from a junkyard T-bird.
Sweet! I think they look great and like said earlier, I think it will be much safer in the long run. I was behind my neighbor the other day and he has a red '65, I could hardly see the brake lights against the red paint. Sequential lights would be a very good idea for people with bright red cars.
Terrific idea, especially if you're going to add the third light anyway. It only makes sense to make them sequential, they certainly are easier to see.
I do think if you could slow down the sequence just a bit, they would stand out even more.
I have recently purchased a 'barn find' Right Hand Drive C2 which was sold new in Hong Kong with the 6 lights - I think to comply with local registration requirements. They are not sequential. Did any US C2s ever have 6 lights from the factory? I'm trying to find out as much as I can about my car's history.
Beautiful picture and I would love to hear the stories that car could tell.
I wonder if the Clippinger cars simply had the holes cut in the rear fascia, or did they have the bucket/socket/whatever you call it that the factory tail lights were mounted in?
I have a short clip showing my 2 light version of sequential lights, but can't find a way to post it.....
Have it in both mpg and mp4 formats.

I've been considering doing this on my '64, but it seems that the wiring is a PITA to get at. I would just use a pair of 555 chips and relays with the existing bulbs. Probably no more than $10 to do the job.
