Default Moss-covered 1961 Chevy Corvette

Moss-covered 1961 Chevy Corvette on Craigslist is one-of-a-kind green machine

You won’t find many cars greener than this one.

A 1961 Chevrolet Corvette that’s been sitting in a yard for 40 years and is still covered in moss has sprouted up on Craigslist.

The seller tells Fox News that he found it in central New Jersey after getting a tip from an estate agent. It was the gem among a group of six cars sitting outside of a rundown house that was full of car parts.

It'll prob turn out to be some famous racer with incredible history and worth $1.2MM...

Such things come under the heading of, "....crap that will never happen to Frank"...

If anyone's interested in it, here's the Craigslist listing for that 61.

https://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/d/196...620893346.html

This must be a whole new trend in Corvette custom finishes. I'm sure that most of the Forum members who were at Corvette Carlisle last year, remember seeing this "green" 56.

I love the negative camber--it must have been set up for auto cross.....

On second thought, I think I saw this car makes its debut in the movie, "American Sniper".....

Owner says the Fuel Injection still works.....

LOL -,that’s it - it’s not Moss, it’s a ghillie suit to disguise its racing heritage!

A little quick and dirty “research” has uncovered the little known legend of the racing history of that car - it was driven by Stirling Moss at Mosport! .

I am still trying to determine what has more value--the car or the flat bed it is sitting on,

Oops, looks like I stole Steve's title to a thread he started.

Here, how about this: "Patina is the New Black". Appears to be quite the rage now a days.
