how to install the pads and straps for convertible top for 1961 corvette.

Maybe he is changing everything and just needs some direction on installing the pads correctly . The spacing for the bows is critical for the top to fold down correctly and there is a difference in opinion on the spacing . He should be more specific with his questions .

You need to get the spacing correct by first tackling the rear window area. I remember I worked forward from the header to the three rear braces. Then worked from the back window forward until I had the spacing correct for the two rear straps. So like placing the convertible top in place until I got it correct. Using string or something is good to use to get the bow spacing correct.
