The head numbers in the model came from 461 castings with 1.94/1.5 valves and seats cut on a Sunnen with a 3-angle cutter. Minimal bowl clean up work was performed to be legal in a stock head racing class. The flow @.500" was 216/153.
The OP does not want solid lifters, or flat hydraulic lifters, or bandwidth beyond 6000 rpm (his choice). If his heads turn out better flow it will beat the model numbers.
Every effort will be made to clean out the ports and bowls. Valve seats will be ground as needed and will use hardened valve seats. The Carter AFB carb has been rebuilt and modified. As a side note and of no consequence the intake and original aluminum valve covers will be bead blasted rather than polished, The distributer will be converted to EI, and the original radiator will be scrapped.
