Default Powerglide shifting issues

We have a 66, 327 base model. The problem I am encountering is when I accelerate it goes out of gear then slowly goes into second slipping beforehand. I had the engine and trans out and separated ( tourque converter on shelf for a couple or months) I changed the module, adjusted the low band. What I noticed is the old module had a pin on the threaded end that goes into the trans. The new one does not. This was a big project and for the life of me I can’t find the old one. I am assuming I need this pin/ rod.Any help on this would be greatly appreciated,Mark

You can make a new one with a roll pin from the hardware store. See post #6 in this thread.

The pin was missing completely from my trans and it didn't seem to make any difference. Shifted fine without it.

As an FYI, it doesn't take long for an automatic transmission to burn up the friction surfaces if there is any slippage at all. I've seen them go in less than 10 miles of driving under those conditions. I would pull and check the pan contents to verify you are still ok.
