My '63 hotrod came equipped with a horizontally mounted Hurst handle like this one when I bought it in 1978. I switched to a standard round **** in 1983.

ha......that reminds me of when I had a Carlsberg draft tap on my 66. Looked really cool until I was racing someone and went to pull second and it BROKE off! The sharp edge went with my hand and gouged my leg pretty good, lots of blood. So I wouldn't recommend any type of plastic beer tap for a shift ****.
Currently I'm using an old (ebay) ACME walnut shift know that has the C1 logo on the top of it. It matches my walnut custom wheel perfectly. I'd post a pic but this site keeps giving me grief when posting from home PC....ALERT notice
