Little help.....stuck flywheel/clutch....again
Car has been sitting since I dropped it off at the new house the first week in April. Got it fired up without issue this morning with plans to drive it to work and blow out of the cobwebs (literally) but with the clutch depressed, the trans wont go into gear. If I shut the car off, I can get the trans into gear but then even with the pedal depressed, the starter is pushing the car forward.
I know others have had this issue, and I had the same thing two years ago after the car had been sitting for a while, I just cant remember what I did to get it unstuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as the Austin Speed Shop is having a happy-hour/cruise-in Friday night and a car show Saturday. Time to take the boy out for his first Corvette ride and show!
Thanks!

I had that happen on mine many years back, but I was fortunate enough to have a sloped driveway. I towed the car *** first to the top of the driveway and put it into second the rolled it down and popped the clutch. It started, and broke the clutch free. Ever since I have kept heavy cardboard on the garage floor underneath the car and a dehumidifier in the garage or shop. Never had that problem, or rust and white oxidation on the aluminum since. Good luck.

Not at all....pretty dry even without the a/c on.
Based on what I read about last time we went through this,
1. chalk front tires
2. disconnect coil wire
3. trans in 4th
4. clutch to the floor
5. brakes held
6. bump starter until she eventually breaks loose....let starter cool 60 seconds in between each 2-3 second hit

You got it , that should free it up , but dampness is the only thing I know that would allow the clutch to stick like it has from lack of use. My current garage I run a dehumidifier, on the hottest days it’s like it is air conditioned and the dehumidifier hardly ever shuts down.
