Engine Stamp Question
The factory's painting was very quick and haphazard. For example, the water pump was installed prior to paint, so there should be unpainted block and timing chain cover immediately behind it; in some instances the exhaust manifolds were installed and blocked off the sides of the block from getting paint; the manual trans bellhousing was attached so it got a shot of overspray when the back of the block was sprayed. None of this matters unless you are going for a true restoration and judging.
