and two poster on this thread who have race corvettes both said they are not needed below 140. a little contradicting info going on here. but all of this is not going to change anyone mind and it seems the op has ran off
My 65 is a Vert. Top off last weekend cruising 85 MPH and was solid. Been to 100 mph and it feels about the same as 85 and under.
I've been big into 1st Gen Camaros and honestly never noticed a difference with or without the front spoiler.
Another thing I've wondered is how much deflection are you getting with that piece of plastic a 100 plus?
I am not saying they are NECESSARY. Just pointing out how the poster in the thread I linked says “it helps the handling with any speed above about 100 mph.”
You guys do what you want but I am going to put one on BOTH of my midyears.

I'm not arguing your reasoning. Sounds good. That said, It sounds like the OP in the thread you posted used the seat of the pant gauge , which we all know is not very accurate.
Also human nature being what it is a guy puts a ton of work into a project and my be imagining improvements?
Now if we had side by side wind tunnel or track time comparisons that would be a different story.

No sir....not a thing. It would certainly help... but there's nothing under there. Heck the spare tire carrier would help...but it's not there.

Thanks for the response. This is way off topic, but did you ever run into (Not literally) the guy with the C2 in the "Supercar Destroyer" video (he was also on 1320 video); twin turbo LT1? He runs a mile purdy fast and I wondered (as was curious with you) if he has a sealed off / underside plate to help the car go through the air and stay planted....he also has front air dam/spoiler. Just wondering....also is there a video of your Texas Mile run? I'd be interested in seeing it. Thanks.

Yes I've seen his...it's nice. Not sure of what all he's done for aero. There was another one from Europe that was brought here to run. He had spent time in a wind tunnel and used belly pans and all sorts of tricks to smooth things out and he said it really let it fly.
There's not any good videos of it...one was taken from the line but justs disappear down the track...not much to look at.
I like the look of a front spoiler but somehow I
am not convinced that adding a front spoiler and
not the rear is the way to go. Stability is what we all
should be looking for. My stock C5 can run about 175 mph.
With front spoiler, lowered ,skirts, vortec generators canards, wing,
rear diffuser, a covered underbelly, custom hood and about twice the hp, I can
run about 214 mph. The car is very stable ,in fact I can take my
hands off the steering wheel. Can a front spoiler make the whole
car stable.? I don't know. I will probably open the hood vent first and
see if that helps.

Jim,
Yes . . . that's the 65 belonging to Kimmo from Finland . . . his trip to the US was detailed in a few threads in 2015. And, yes, in addition to a front spoiler, the entire bottom of the car was sealed up tight!
Here’s one on a really nice and highly modified C2 that races a lot. In the video Greg mentions the “parachute effect” at higher speeds with the rear grabbing air and lifting…one other thing to consider.
This shop (GTS Customs) does work on my cars. They did all the paint/body on my 63 SWC and put on their widebody rear fenders. They currently have my 67 Camaro and are dialing in the C4 rear suspension I have on that car. I've been lucky enough to ride shotgun in the orange C2 and it's absolutely incredible. You can see how he cut out rear sections of the body to allow for better airflow and left "lift" at high speeds.
