Default Vette therapy

Last week was one to forget ---

Monday AM a little (young and petite) girl runs a right hand yield sign, gets in front of me (in my '99 3/4 ton Chevy) by about a foot and a half ---- still room to spare ---- but then realizes she's run through a yield and is in traffic so she promptly brings her Mazda Protege to a stop -- yup, right in front of me.

Tuesday my ebay purchased Moon Roofs arrive ---one broken

Wednesday I find out the seller of the above Moon Roofs is a I'm-going-to-keep-your-money jerk (but that’s another story)

So, Thursday I take my now teenage (turned 13 in Feb) son to school in the Vette, drop him, pop the tops, stop by Starbucks, and head for some slightly curvy back roads. Crank up the CD, roll on a little power and you know.....

things ain't so bad..... now that I think about it life is grand.......

I'll deal with the insurance companies next week.....

It's amazing how a car can make you absolutely forget the headaches and anguish associated with everyday life, isn't it?

When I have an absolute dog poo day at work, I hop in mine and head south of the base.. It's nothing but a bunch of twisty curves and straightaways... flushes the BS out of your mind quickly!

adam -- UPS has to pickup the top and make sure it was packed right -- the yahoo I bought it from shipped in two boxes insured each for $300.00 --- so if all goes well I'll get about 1/2 my money back --- but since he shipped from a Staples, I'm going to have to work with them and UPS --- UPS only works with the shipper........

there is a little good news -- I found and purchased another set on ebay and have contacted the shipper who does (at least now) believe in bubble wrap .......

Even more good news -- a fellow forum member thinks he has a spare drivers side..........
