He doesn't say how much he wants. As a matching numbers car, it's worth quite a bit. As it sits, I don't think it's worth much more than the motor and tranny are worth. They're fairly easy cars to restore and lots of aftermarket goodies are available, so if you can get a good deal on this one, go for it.

I think as it sits (the last picture) that something in the $3,500-$4,500 range ought to be pretty fair for everybody. Certainly no more than $4,500.
I have to agree. Buying a car to collect and restore that had some history of hard racing scares the heck out of me. Racing stresses out frames and bodies. And lots of ex race cars show signs of stress on body seams and joints. Secondly, the modification that takes place on race cars usually ruins the value of a "real" collector car. SO scrap the idea that this is an original and unmolested car that can be restored to original condition. I too agree that any real value in this car would only be in the engine and transmission. My estimate would be that the car is only worth $3,000- $6,000.
