the pad to hot, and got hot spots on the pad to. to ruin my rotors.
How does this guy know what I have been doing, I called a couple times
to fix this problem, before I got grooves in my rotors because I almost had an accident trying to stop. I had brake shudder it was weird, and
cheap pads fixed all the problems i was having
.What make's me mad, was I tried to correct this with them before
I had problem with the rotors, sales guy said don't worry about it.
Later on I called about the pads, sales guy said, don't worry about it,
they are suppose to be like that, and great for the street.
Now my rotors are toast, and look like sh*t
Is this somthing I can take to small claims court??
PLEASE HELP

I don't know if it helps Megladon, but this complaint has made me decide it's probably not a brilliant idea to go with their Force Ten high end and go with a Willwood system conversion instead (or a conversion to a whole different platform, like a non-ABS C5 set up I've seen the directions for.)
That's all these iffy supported companies can really be afraid of - bad consumer complaints they wouldn't just handle like a real business should costing them new customers.
I get burned too many times by too many "recommended" vendors that I take substantial complaints seriously before I ever walk through a door and buy something.
Hope it works out for you, but thanks for posting your problem - that's already enough for me.

I think you said that your brakes work fine after you got the organic pads, maybe you should just get them skim cut somewhere at a local machine shop ?? How much would they charge for all four - $100 ???
It's sad you have to eat the additional $$$ but it seems that ssbc is not doing anything for you.....
A couple of years ago I had a product failure with a part I bought from ZIP. I had the part a year or two before even using it and it ended up failing during use and wrecking my original number aluminum expansion tank. I called ZIP explained the problem and within a day David Walker send a replacement tank and ordered a number correct tank at NC. They were never rude and didn't try to get away from the problem.
Now this week I opened up for the first time a small centrifugal spinner for use at work. It has been in the box since the day we bought it 5-7 years ago. It is defective, poorly assemble and shipped out the door. I called hte factory and explained even offered pictures showing it is in brand new condition. They offered no assistance- you bought and we have a 30 day warranty. Why are we shipping jobs overseas? But that's another story
I hope that I'm wrong about the situation because they have been around for over 30 years and I believe the original owner started with the SS sleeves. He's passed away now so maybe policy's have changed?
Are the rotors grooved or just discolored? I'm not sure on the window those rotors have but stock rotors only have .035" from new to trash.
Good Luck
Gary

I should not have to skim my rotors, and one does need to be cut,
because I tried, and called many time to explain what what was happing before they got like this!!! As they said " its normal"
You can always file a complaint with the BBB.

at me in the whole reply
.1.he said box it all up, and send it in. If they find a problem they will replace it.
2. its the customer fault if installed wrong. (don't see how you can do that)
3. I had no idea these pads would eat my rotors!!!!
and they dont tell you that. (the customer is suppose to know this)
4. I called a few times right when I noticed the first tiny groove,
and they told me don't worry about it, and the pads would be fine.
(perfect for a daily driver
5. All in all, I guess i hung myself for not knowing of semi mettalic pads
and what they do. In my opinoin, they are not worth a crap for a daily driver, as sales said.
6. if I send them back, they will say its normal, that they all got grooved to sh*t because of the pads.
I just left a message for this guy to call me back, 5th time I left my
# with them, let's see if they call me back this time.
I wouldn't expect much at this point and it might not be worth the shipping and fustration you'll get. If they were going to deal with you, they would have by now.
Those pads are good for heavy loads that build up heat but you now see why some(sometimes a lot) of the aftermarlet stuff isn't always better, just cost more for bragging rights.
Too bad it couldn't have been resolved better or they should have just told you so up front instead of wasting your time.

If you get the shaft, make a complaint with the vendor's BBB...don't know what BBB can do to help you but at least they might make a negative mark on their rating, and that goes a long long way.
You should know not to deal with sales dept...their main function is to sell sell sell, tell the customer what they want to hear, regardless if it's wrong....this happens too many times when sales guys are on commission....sell and ship, worry about it later and blame the customer.
Although it took forever to get my brakes tolerable, of all the times I used VBP I only recall a few minor problems - more on the level of "ah hell, this is the wrong part..." that anything defective (as much as I can recall at least....) A few times I got some know-it-all salesman or had a hard time getting back to the same one I last talked to, but that's just normal and it always worked out OK in the end. They always offered to quickly fix any problem, even though I'm so lazy about mailing things I usually just put the new wrong part still in its box on a handy spot on the floor and ordered another....
Assuming my engine is healed by next Friday, I want to get their whole SS P-brake setup (or at least the cables for now.) I want to use their higher end rotors next, if I don't cut the whole live caliper system off and do the ABSless C5 conversion or some other nifty custom like Norval did. The front and rear complete suspensions have been great. Even with 15" tires the thing handles incredibly....until....the.....engine... ..
blows.......up........again.......
(I s'pose everything handles great in the driveway....and on the back of the wrecker...."just look at her BANK on that winch - must be pulling a good 0.004 G's!!!")
I would note I had to rebuild those O-Ring calipers way before I should have, but blame that more on switching back and forth between silicone and DOT4/Fomoco DOT3 and possibly missing traces of the former.

you hit it on the spot
I think it's so chicken sh*t for a awsome company like SSBC
to do this to customers, if they would have told me about their
pads being hard on rotors, I would have gladly went with stock
pads.
But sales kept telling me it's ok, not to worry about anything
I still cannot get any response from a manager or supervisor.
I have sent e-mails to tech and customer info, and left my #
a million times, and only got 2 replys by sales guys. I wonder
if someone higher up knows whats going on
