The intake manifold is resting on there not fixed yet. It was a productive saturday though with the cam shaft fitted, heads fitted and torqued down, lifters fitted, pushrods and full roller rockers fitted and the timing cover fitted. Not too much left to do now
Will spend some time, cleaning and painting the engine bay the next evening or so, then hopefully get the all the small things fitted ready for the final things saturday
Yes it is hydaulic, so in your case, you really noticed the difference then? I am hoping to see a good improvement.
When I first started building my engine I sent Edelbrock an Email with my gas octane problems here and the high temps we have also. They came back with a package suggestion plus recommendations on pistons to use. I ordered all the parts they suggested from Summit including the 64cc heads and pistons, rods and rockers. I sometimes have a dieseling problem when the engine is hot as the fuel here is not regulated. With any stock 81 Corvette any thing you do improves performance. I am running the summit high output distributor and dynomax headers. I did have to install a plate under the carb due to high engine temps plus a fuel gauge and flow regulator due to the Holey high output fuel pump. In the future I may install a slightly bigger cam but not right now. I’m guessing about 350 HP as it is now. So from 190 to 350 it is a big improvement.

Looking good Paul. Should be quite a runner when you get it done. I recieved a set of roller rockers for Christmas and have yet to put them on. I guess I need to get out there and get with it. Thanks for sharing the pic. Now, we are looking forward to getting some driving impressions of all your hard work.
