Muffler eliminators
#3
That's the ones. I've sent e-mails to people that have purchased them but no one has replied as to how loud they are. They would sure cleanup the back of my 80. Huge flowmasters hangin in there now.

Don't buy those things from eBay....just run over to your local muffler shop and have them do the work for you. Hour labor and some pipe should run you around 80.00 or so. I did it on my '92 LT1 and it sounds GREAT with the 6speed!!!!!! Definately not too loud. When my '81 mufflers start to go...they'll come off too.

Cat. converters have the effect of mufflers so if one is running them the mufflers can be eliminated. Have done it on some cars before the internet forums & have rec. it esp. for the later Corvettes w/ cats.
No cats. & mufflers at the end of the exhaust is best.
Wrote something up awhile back that the guys refer to as my Exhaust topic.
