vin question
How long should th evin number be for a 74 Corvette? When i try to run a carfax it comes up 3 or 4 numbers short i forget which.

Can't run Carfax on the old vin #'s I believe it must be a 17 digit vin.

yeah carfax needs 17 digits. So older ones are not this long? IF a car has a salvage title it will say something on the title correct?

CarFax only works for '81 and newer cars (17 digit VIN). So will not work for the '80 and earlier cars (13 digit VIN).
