Default weatherstripping help

i'm trying to put on my ttop weatherstripping and it seems to be too big for the top..... i ordered the right set for the whole car..... also seems as if the tab hole are a little off so i had to pull the ws a bit so now i have about an inch of slack now...... i might just cut it and silicone glue it..... any suggestions....... i'm getting at my last nerve with this car......

I just did all of them and mine all seemed just a little too small. I pulled it just a bit and they all fit right. They all are very tight and after sitting for about a month now in the hot Texas weather are getting a little better to deal with.

I wouldn't cut it. Check with your supplier to make sure it's the right one.

i don't think i did...... it's been sitting around for a year or so in the package...... it's a cruiser car and won't be seeing any rain so i hope i'm fine

Bought mine from Mid america motor works, 79 coupe, fit perfect. Used the release agent for the old glue and 3m weatherstripping glue. Worked like a charm. Only problem was thet were alot thicker than the old ones and a bitch to get on. I had to loosen all the brackets and then tighten them up once the top was in place, trying to compress the rubber a tad so they fit easier.\
