I bought a conversion kit to see if the system will even hold a vacuum, but the the instructions are vauge are you supposed to remove the old schrader valves from the old lines? as the new ones also have valves. If that is the case the valve on the liquid line broke off inside can i remove the line and try and drill it out or buy a new one? any more help on this project would be great
The kits usually tell you to just install the valve adapters over the stock valves but that leads to trouble. Best is to remove the valve cores on the stock valves before installing the adapters. Yes, you can drill out the broken core.
Put some grease on the threads before installing the adapters. The adapters have some goo on them that is intended to fuse with the original threads so the adapter will be impossible to remove. A dab of grease prevents this so you can take them on and off.
