Im the guy who's car hes talking about. Jay...forgot to tell you that IS a smaller steering wheel...I believe it is the grant everyone is talking about. I will check my stuff to see which one it is exactly. Might be as good as it gets unless you want a little chain "Cheech and Chong" wheel.

OK FOUND IT here it is http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...H5WGKBCD1C83C9

Its a 14 inch so maybe there is hope with a little smaller one.

I am 6'4". I leave the wheel set in the position I drive in.

I just don't want to have to rule out the non tilt/tele cars. It would suck if I found the perfect car for me only to find out it doesn't have this option. Seems like such a small thing. Keep the replies coming. I like to hear how others make themselves fit into their cars. Gives me good ideas.
I'm 5"6 - but pack a good 270 onto that short frame with a non tilt-tele '79 - with the stock wheel. It's doable - the knee does get a bit stiff from working the clutch at such an odd angle, but them's the breaks!

Seriously - if I fit, anyone can.

I'm 6'2" I put a smaller 3 spoke wooden wheel in my 79 looks great & I have more room. You can add a tilt setup which I may do some day.
My problem is I hit my head if I put on the T-Tops..........

What were all Americans shorter 25 years ago?

Don't let the tilt/tele feature scare you away. There were (are) LOTS of C3's with tilt/tele, and it's easily retrofitted. It's just under a grand for a very nice rebuilt column that will bolt right in, so if you see a car you just HAVE to have, it's still doable (you can swap the column in your garage easily). It will just be a little bit of extra dough.

I have driven C3s, C4s, C5s, and ridden in a C6, and I have to agree the C3 is the most fun so far. I have yet to even sit in a C2 or C1 (I would love a ride in either!). Good luck with you search!
