This what mine looks like after tinkering with it for a little while this evening. I backed the car down the driveway and steered it back and forth a little bit. If I turn away from center, left or right, it gets into a slight bind. Any suggestions?

You may need to pull the column back into the interior a bit.

Just loosen the 2 bolts under the column and pull. Boy I sure hate to loose any more interior room. I may try to collapse the column a little.

I finally got it all together and working correctly. Now all I need is an alignment. I took it around the block for a test drive. The FedEX man stopped me and wanted to check it out a little closer.

So far, the car will drive a straight line, but move the steering wheel just a little and it will go there in an instant. The only problem I have with that is that it does not return to center yet. Also when I got home, I felt of the front tires and they were warm while the rears were still cool to the touch. I guess I could put a string on the tires and get them in roughly straight.

Well I think I got the tires aligned pretty decently using a piece of string. I got it as close as I could. Not able to drive it yet because it has started raining. Hopefully tomorrow morning while everyone is still sleeping I can get a little cruise in.
