Default Removing Back Emblem?

Who the heck thought up this design? Is there no way to remove the back logo on the 75-77 bumpers? I try to reach up behind the bumper, and there is a huge plate that doubles back, that is not only bolted, but welded to the frame. I wish I could unbolt it. I have a messed up logo and no way of getting it off. I can't imagine that the only way is to remove the bumper. How would people do it at the dealer?

I think that bumper brace is held on by 2 or 3 small bolts, (10 mm or 3/8th's, if I remember). You can remove the bolts and push the brace over to get access to the emblem nuts....

Yes, three bolts normally hold the "A" shaped piece to the center of the bumper impact bar. He says his is welded. If so, then the car was probably in an accident and instead of using bolts they tack-welded it in place BEFORE they installed the new bumper cover and now you're screwed because there is no room to get your fingers or hand up there!
