Default Installing seat back carpet.
I see how to do it,my question is what do I use to clean off the residue left over? and what type of adhesive do you recomend to reattch.I've got some 3M 76 spray.Will this work?

try Goof Off on the old adhesive. Great stuff. Will probably need a few cans. Use the liquid.

Light machine oil hould get it off too (also usefull to get glue off new carpet in case you spilled some on the fluffy side), just degrease well before applying the new.
