Default interresting dilemma

I'm in an interesting situation...got the headers on but found I had a crack in the return fuel line going back to the tank...exhaust shop said they wouldn't do it...i couldn't understand why so since i was going out of town this past weekend i had it taken to the shop for them to drop the tank and all that stuff so i could have it ready today to take to the exhaust shop...well for some reason or another the shop decided they were going to hook up the exhuast I had on the car already (stock 2.5 in piping that bubba cut down to 2.25 half way back on the car) since i know the owners and they definately weren't supposed to do it i convinced them to give me the labor for free. So now my dilemma is this should i take the car down to the shop and have the 2.5 in mandrel bent put on that i was originally planning to do or should i take the free work save my money and run. My biggest concern is probably for the way the car sounds...since putting the headers on(well the ride home from the shop 15 min ago) the car seems to be running a lot quieter than it did (as a side note can someone explain that to me?) this however is not what I want I want the screaming machine back. Is the 2.5 mandrel bent going to give me much of an improvement in sound and performance? If so is it worth the cost?

no exhaust restrictions in mandrel bent tubing...how much efficiency over std bent tubing...I don't know.

if you want the screaming machine. Then I would take her back to the shop and get what you wanted done. Its not going to cost you more than it was going to.

anyone have a clue why the car would sound quieter or is it just cause i drove to the shop on open heads? mufflers on the car are some sort of flowmaster no clue what kind and i plan on replacing them with flowmaster 40 series...

Take a ride in a car with 40's. my buddy had a Mustang with 40's and the resonance at 1500-2000 was enough to dive a sane man nuts. think about how you will drive the car. 5 hp is not worth a life time of agony.
