Put it on Ebay with a high reserve and see what offers you get. I'd guess mid 20's
I was following a Pace Car on ebay a few weeks ago. If I remember right, it had under 1,000 miles... and it bid up to $25K and didn't hit the reserve... NO SALE I was following it because I was curious to see what interest there currently is in them, and what the public thought they were worth.
I just researched Pace Car sales on ebay for the last month. Several under 10K miles, none cracked $25K... but then they were L48 automatics. One had 2300 miles on it with a buy it now price of $24K and only got up to $21K.
And I agree... a Silver Anniversary is NOT a Pace Car.
I need to correct a few things, I just got the VIN# and after further conversation I found that I had done some assumung..
This actually a 1982 COLLECTORS EDITION vette with the L98 engine code.
Any how, I still have not had a chance to go over to his gouse and write down all the info...codes.
They are not worth as much as some who bought them for an investent back in '78 had hoped. Probably only double ( maybe a little more ) your money for a 27 wait.
There seems to be quite a few low mileage '78 pace cars out there and they are not that expensive
That is true...these Vettes (mine included) are to young...I have an agreed replacement value of $16,500 with my insurance...be hard to sell it at that price..my opinion,anyway..
Just plugged mine into a price calculator:
Corvette Model Year = 1978
Body Style = Coupe
Condition = Very Good
Base Value = $10,000.00
Options Value = $5,050.00
Total Car Value = $15,050.00
It all comes down to what a buyer will pay....these price guides are just a reference...
