Default Tech tip # 9

This tech tip from Hagerty. Actually, some of their ideas are pretty good, but this one just cracked me up!! I mean, my back is already killing me from contorting myself under the dash and leaning over the engine compartment. I need to extend my arms also!

9. If you want to stay cleaner when working on cars, work with your arms extended as far out as possible. This helps keep the dirt and grease off your clothes.

What's #10? #10: Do not bash yourself in the head with a hammer. It will only feel good once it stops hurting.

Default Tech Tip #11

Ok, so are we missing the obvious Tech Tip?

If you dont want to get your hands dirty at all...then dont work on the car.

That way they wont get dirty. What insight.

They really have no clue ...

To avoid getting your clothes dirty ... work naked. DUH !!
Of course, a couple of cute helpers wouldn't hurt (to do some jacking).

Same thing I was thinking. Or else those folks have obviously never really worked on any car at all.

Hmmmm.....

I wonder how many insurance guys work on their own car anyhow. All the insurance guys I know (my great uncle was one of them) wouldn't know which end of the dipstick to look at or why.

I think the last place I'd get car maintence tips from would be from a guy in the insurance industry. Now if the tips were related to what color leather to order with the new Rolls Royce Corniche or Silver Cloud, then I might listen.
