Default Tech tip #10

The Bozone layer. Don't ever believe that things written are the gospel truth.

I never buy or even much read guns or ammo rags. They are right in there with the car rags like Hot Rod and Car Craft. They are not objective. They are written by the type of person that I would call surrounded by Bozone!

Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

These writers sell their souls to the highest bidder. They skew the results with their own agenda to make a product appear the best.

The worse stinging I ever got was after reading about have the best of both worlds with an automatic OD tranny. In the mid 80's every car rag jumped on the band wagon of 700R4 trannies for your hot rod. These TCI or B&M that handle 450 hp of big block power. The articles talked about gas mileage gains blah blah blah. $1350 just for the tranny was a big out lay of cash to me back then. More like $2000 when you got done with a cross member, speedo calbe, and gears exhaust changes.

I got sucked in This big block monster handling tranny blew up in under a week with a 355 ci motor. The first time I tried a power brake burn out it puked it guts out. In 5 months its was rebuilt three times and each time better. It nearly broke me in shipping charges.
