Default wiper tubes install.

My 69 windshield/headlamp washer system is now working...YEAH! But I cannot figure these darn brass wiper tubes out, it looks terrible. I bought the clips from paragon but I cannot find anything anywhere about how they go on. Does anyone have advice or pictures. Thanks

Besides the 2 or 3 plastic clips on each tube, the tube is soldered onto the "tang" on the wiper arm too. Chuck

Many of the arms are missing the metal cover over the spring on the bottom side. Without the cover the clips will not hold. One arm has a triangle clip on the tube in the middle and two on the cover. The other has two rectangle clips on the tube and two on the cover.

I have made them out of thin sheet metal but the part is not made or used on any other wiper I know of that is the same size.

Here are a few pictures of the clips from various angles. Let me know if you need additional shots.

The third picture shows how the clips need the spring cover to hold.

Their are slots in the metal spring covers, if you have them the bottom two clips have something for the clips to hold to as the clips are on the sides. If you have no covers the clips have no way to hold and it just slips on and can slip off if the wipers are used. Not a problem for most of us who avoid rain if we can.

I have some pics of the originals (pre-restoration, with overspray everywhere!) here:
