I wish I could be a little more brutal with my car. I couldn't do a proper burnout at the strip
Its in 1st gear where the tires are just beyond the limit of adhesion and trying to grab again that is hardest on parts. Proper burnout = put the car in 2nd gear, bring it up to the bleach box, get your foot to the far left of the pedal with the weight of your foot on your ankle. To "pop" the clutch Rev it up and slide your foot off the left end of the pedal so it comes up under its own weight. Youll break the tires loose with enough wheel speed that the tires really boil and warm up. You want the tires that way so they DONT spin when you are ready to go. At the line you want to "leave" when the last yellow goes out (right before the green light comes on) by letting it up fast (under your foot) at an elevated RPM. With some practice you can stage the car in the beams so youll be moving forward by the time the green light comes on but not red lighting. But the 2nd gear thing is also the secret to laying down a holeshot in a cloud of billowing smoke. Next time you see it somewhere, watch how much wheel speed there is when the car begins to move. If the car is an automatic - get it to upshift into 2nd as well and the same applies.

LOL Next time we hook up he can ride shotgun! Let me know when youre spinning some wrenches maybe I can be of help. Thanks again it was a great day.

It is addicting. Now you will be doing it more often. I don't feel like it was a good ride unless I have turned the tires a few times.

As a college student, I can't afford to break anything.

It's good that everything so far is beefy enough to handle it

As a father of three, I can't afford to break anything either, but I have a bunch of new parts to replace all the broken ones. I should get to it this week. I punched it in first - busted the spindle flange, mangled half shaft flange. But it may have been a blessing in disguise, because it happened on my block (got all the neighborhood kids to push me home) and not at the start line at Englishtown or someplace really embarrasing.

I did that Satuday and broke a halfshaft and the rear end, everything back there was original though 3:08 gears gota get some 3:70's. Won't be soon It really lit em up buried the car in smoke I wasn't too upset it happened in my driveway and I know the engine and trany are what I paid for
