Default hood alignment bumpers

Hi,
My 82 has a pop-rivet in the right underhood side channel. Looks like a hood alignment bumper was once there. There is no pop-rivet or hole on the left side. Would the factory put a bumper on only one side? I thought the bumpers were installed in pairs.
Thanks,
Tom

TTT I asked about this very subject several months ago and someone posted the correct placing for the bumpers. For the life of me I can't find that post I printed it.
Hopefully they will be kind enough to share that info again. By the way only have one rivet on my 80 go figure.

When I fit mine on the 78,i just put them at the low spots..(2 on each side) where hood line was low with respect to fender...generally 9" from forward edge of channel and about 12" from windshield end works...
Don't have any my 69 as hood matches fenders real good...
