Default Windshield Washer 72 Vette

My 72 doesn't seem to have a windshield wiper washer bottle. Does anyone know if the 72's had bottles or bags. Thanks in advance...

I'm fairly certain it depends on if it had AC. Mine's an air car and has teh bag. I'm pretty sure non air cars had a hard bottle

From my "Corvette Restoration Guide":

"All 1971 and 1972 air-conditioned cars use an off-white-color flexible plastic bag to hold washer fluid. This bag is mounted on the lower left-side firewall."

Hope that helps.

I'm in the same boat. Would be great if someone with A/C and small block could post a pic of the mounting location for the bag. I think it's supposed to be on the driver's side but mine doesn't seem to have anywhere to hang it.

On the 71 there are 2 hooks way up on the inside of the driver side fender. If you remove the driver side louver and look toward the firewall - there are 2 hooks are way up toward the top.

Hi R,
Yes,
The bag works the same as the bottle.
A hose runs from the center port on the washer pump, through the lid of the bag, to the bottom of the bag.
There's a small plastic 'funnel' at the hose's end which has a piece of fine screening in it to act as a strainer.
Regards,
Alan

Well, normally I'd say it tucked under the drivers side fender just below the hood latch but for those down-under cars I don't know that they didn't move the bag to the other side along with the steering.
Easiest thing to do is simply follow the center fluid supply line from the wiper pump back to the bag.

This car was imported over here in 2014. It is an original AC car.

Well then, the A/C cars have a plastic bag with a cap that the fluid line runs into.
The bag hangs on a "hook" under the driver's side fender near the driver's hood latch.
The bag is roughly the size and shape of a hot water bottle.
Several vendors carry these.
Here's a photo of a used one.

Awesome thanks bud.

No wonder I can't see it, it virtually camouflages itself amongst an old black engine bay

My 72 Automatic with Air, it’s windshield washer has a bottle. It’s behind the side vent drivers side. Remove the two Phillips screws and left out the vent.
