Anyone out there know where a 71ZR2 is hiding. I sold one to Mr. Jack Murray in the eighties, and am trying to locate the car again. He sold it on eBay in April of last year, but I don't know where the car went. It's a beautiful green convertible.
Thanks, Mike

That car was for sale for 750K on ebay a few mos back. I believe it is in Kevin Suydams collection in Seattle, WA. You might check his website for information on it.

Also a War Bonnet yellow ZR-2 coupe has been at Barrett-Jacksons facility for sale, last price was 475K. You might want to check their site for that information.

I believe that Kevin S. sold the ZR2 to Larry Bowman a while ago. Mr Bowman was the person that listed the car last year. I am not sure if he still owns it.

Sinor Presitge Auto had one a couple of years ago - that crappy orange color, with solid bushings, 7-leaf rear spring, side exhaust, and there was something about the radiator I don't quite remember. I think it came from overseas and I think the going price was around $325k.

That Ontario Orange convertible was indeed an export car. The original 2 page Corvette Order Copy was with it. It was in the Bloomington Gold auction in 2004, auctioneer started bidding at 400K, no takers, I started bidding off at 75K, bidding continued to 210K before stalling. It did not make reserve.

The cars suspension had been altered with racing type pieces. Originally it was configured as a M22, 3:55 ratio car. The block pad had been decked, no stampings at all.

I'm grittin' my teeth but I'm NOT going to ask what you got for it when you sold it.

7T1vette,

I wasn't the seller, I was there to buy. It so happened that another ZR-2 showed up at the auction, a Steel Cities Gray coupe. I did bid on that car to 175K, it had a reserve of 200K. There was some doubt about the stamp pad. This car had the original Corvette Order Copy as well and the Protect-0-plate too.

The story I was told, is that this car was at Bloomington Gold being judged some time back, it was called for an anomalie on the stamp pad and judging halted. I later found out what the specifics were, it turned out, that the stamping was genuine, at the time, but this particular anomalie was not known of. Since then the pad was restamped in the correct configuration, so now it has this stigma attached to the stamping. This car did sell later for 190K.
