Well you had all good advice. Here's my .02 When I was a young single man I used to say too many women not enough time. Now that I'm an old married man I say too many vette's not enough money. I say you only live once if you can't keep both sell the C3 (IF you must) and go for it. Good luck and keep us posted on what happens next. Oh and you can post pic's of the C6 when you get her.
my biggest problem is I don't have the funds for both,
besides I would get killed for even thinking about another car
I had the law laid down .. one Vette at a time ..
So therein lies my trouble.
Here is the skiny ...
I really want a car that I can drive on trips,
one that I don't sweat 10 pounds of water off when I road-trip.
You'all have no IDEA how how hot a BB gets - oh buddy !!
Not much room under the hood for cooling..
Bill
Go for it.
If it is what you want and its what your looking for then no reason not to.The C6 is an excellant car and you would have alot of fun cruising on long trips.
Plus you`ll still be in the Corvette family.
Im going to miss posting in the C3 forum, but i will check in and give my .02 cents when I can. Afterall - I been living this car for nearly 4 years, seen alot and figured out a bunch of cool shortcuts and inventive ways to fix stuff.
If all goes well, I will be the guy with the C3 name in the C6 section - wonder how thats going to go over ....
time to become a two Vette family...good advice, pick-up a used C5 and drive it daily...keep that C3.
I "saved" 36% over sticker for my Z and she is hardly used at all! She might drop in value a little more but for the most part will hold steady.
Or, if a C6 is what you want wait for them to drop in value. The C6's are still too new to the market to buy "new" or "used" IMHO.
thats exactly what I did. and you know what? I have driven a C-6 and I prefer the C-5. for what you will pay for a C-6 coupe, you can buy an 02-04 vert and still have plenty of mod money
and Mark my words.. one day you will wish you had that '72
