can someone use desktop dyno this for me.
My current set up
350
Flat top 4 relif pistons
882 heads
600 cfm holley single feed carb
edelbrock performer intake (regualr performer)
edelbrock performer rpm cam
Intake Duration 050 inch Lift: 234
Exhaust Duration 050 inch Lift: 244
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 234 int./244 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 308
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 318
Advertised Duration: 308 int./318 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.488
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.510
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.488 int./0.510 exh. lift
Lobe Separation (degrees): 112
timing is at 36 degrees.

Yeah i know that this is not a good cam with this setup but it is what i found out was put in buy the guy that built the motor. just want to get an idea of where the numbers are because the old butt dyno says this motor suck no low end wont even do a burn out or spin the tires but does like 4500 to 5500 rpm.

My new setup is gonna be the same bottom end since the motor is still new. but will use these parts.
Vortec Heads upgraded for higher lift
edlebrock performer rpm airgap manifold (have l88 hood so no clearance issue)
Holley 670 Street Avenger Carb
Camp Cams XE262
Part Number 12-238-2
Engine 1955-1998 Chevrolet
262ci-400ci
8cyl.
Grind Number CS XE262H-10

So if anyone can run a dyno program with these combos it would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to have to put it to you like this but, your engine is a dog. The old combo did 273HP/5500 and 300TQ/4000. It only has 265TQ/2500. I gave this thing 9/1 compression but I don't think it has that much.

The new combo is a much more balanced motor. It did 302HP/5000 and 348TQ/3500. This engine had 324TQ/2500. I gave this one 9.5/1 compression because of the smaller combustion chambers.

Looks like you're going in the right direction.

By the way, what kind of exhaust are you running?

thanks thats what i thought the current one was at. I am running large tube headers with a 2.5 inch exhaust in to dynomax turbo mufflers. it is a true dual system with no cats.

You should take your car to Track Masters Dyno on University Blvd . I dont know what they charge but then you would really know what you have.
