Default Winter projects almost done??????

This is the first winter that I've actually done a project on my car. I usually drive it untill something breaks but the noise coming from my transmission was getting worse and worse eveytime I drove it. Now that the weather is getting nice I was wondering if ya'll are almost finished with what you started when it started to get cooler?
I removed my Muncie 4-speed to rebuild and found that I had a bad pilot shaft bushing. All I have to do is reconnect the exhaust and fire it up. I should have it off the jackstands early Saturday morning. I can't wait!!! Let everyone know what you've been doing the last few months and your progress.
Spring is sooooo close!

well, I spent a lot of the winter redo-ing the entire engine bay and motor on my '65 plus some of the interior. She will be finished soon. Hopefully by the end of this week she will be off the jackstands than she goes back to the paint shop to redo a few areas of the new paint job she got last winter. She should be there for a few weeks than she will be done for the winter projects for this winter (already a big list for NEXT winter.

Just last Friday I also started the new '78 L82 project car so it will be about 6 weeks or so I figure until she is ready to head over to the paint shop also........

I put a new rear wheel bearing assembly on. Also put headers on and 2 1/2 in. exhaust system from allen exhaust. Runs and sounds a lot better. Now it's just a few minor things left to do. The weather around here has been different this year. I had it out once in Jan. and 3 or 4 times in Feb.

Not close yet but making some progress. Te engine is back in with new clutch and trans is back in. Headers are on but exhaust is going to need to be refitted. The front brakes are done but the rears are not on. The trailing arms are still out and the halfshafts have arrived but not on yet. Still a lot of little things to wrap up also.

I WISH I was done... it's been six months of struggling, but now I'm almost there....

MY project was to build a custom fuel-injection setup for my blown 427. The thread for it is HERE, but a few quick pics....

When I started the project, with dual carbs:

And as of this past weekend...?

As you can guess, this winter has been a SERIOUS learning-curve for me....

My aluminum heads are in, aluminum surge tank is in. Car runs beautifully. Now I'm contemplating whether I should do the trailing arms and new spring this year or just wait until Fall.

I started my winter project in the begining of August05. Things were going pretty good until about October. I managed to get my engine, transmission, and body off my car. I POR15ed my frame, repainted the engine compartment, bought $5,000 in parts, but I haven't made any real progress since then. Now I have a huge pile of parts in my garage that used to be my Corvette.

I almost sold it a month ago. I'm glad I didn't.

Work has just killed all of my free time. Hopefully things will die down in the office and I can get things going in the next week or two. I really think I can get my engine together and put back into my car and the body put back on within a month once I get some time.

Fortunately it doesn't get nice enough to drive the Corvette in Bavaria, Germany until the end of April

I started my winter project in 2002. I'll be driving her next month,
but there are so may winters worth of things to do.
Once she's on the road I will spruce up the body and at least get her in black primer.
Right now, I am cutting the hood open to fixed the hinge nut plates.
Three of the four hinge bolts broke off ... and both nut plates
fell off inside the hood.
Hood, new windshield, and new seatbelts ... then I'm ready to roll.

My winter project started about the same time, with a simple T/A brake line replacement. I've only put about 30 miles on it since.

currently I'm finishing the front suspension, brakes and steering. Then redirect myself to the fuel tank for a thorough cleaning, then finally new radiator and tranny cooler.

Maybe I'll be able to drive it this summer!!!

I started on 12/28 stripping the paint off my car. Saturday a week ago, it went to the painter, and I hope to have it back by the end of this month for warm weather cruising!
