Heh...Southern California drivers have me wondering if they know what Turn signals mean.

Most drivers seem to think, "Oh, the flashing light on one side of the car means that I have to speed up and close the opening that this guy wants into."

Even the Sheriffs here in town don't know how to drive; today I watched one come barreling down the freeway at 80 mph, pull up behind me, and ride right on me. Didn't hit the lights or anything; just tailgated me. I changed lanes to let him pass, because the traffic was only going to move at 65 mph on the freeway with him there, and he zips up and tailgates the car in front of me. He continued to do this for 3 cars.

It's a sad day when law enforcement drives recklessly like that.

At any rate, I'm glad that you avoided a wreck that could have possibly caused serious damage, injury, and/or death.

When it did and I got the green, I waited a few seconds as I always do to make sure the intersection was clear. I then started through with everyone else that was waiting.

Just then some freaking IDIOT came roaring through from the west to make a left turn. Everyone had to slam on their brakes as this fool made a unprotected left turn in front of us.

If I had decided to "get on it" at all when the light had changed, we would have wrecked, no doubt about it.

The bottom line is, be careful out there guys and gals. There are a lot of people on the road that simply do not have very good driving skills
And a lot of them that don't give a damn!!!

You cant always judge what officers are doing just based upon their blue lights and sirens. Officers cant always run code three to all calls but still need to get there asap just the same. If it were your family who needed help im sure you wouldnt mind him tailgating a few people and running 80. Also on some calls you dont want the bad guys knowing your coming because it can put you and others in more danger.

Police officers are some of the best trained drivers on the road who are usually required to go through many defensive and offensive driving schools/classes each year to get re-certified.

Having said that there are always dumb asses in every profession who screw it up for the rest of us. Dont crucify and categorize the 99% good just because you have 1% bad.

***stepping off the box now lol***

Same exact thing happened to me today (Glades & Boca Raton Blvd. for you "locals"), except it was a DFC* who JAMMED ON HER BRAKES BEFORE HITTING ME AND STARTS CURSING ME OUT!?! I'm like "WTF?". Had there not been so many witnesses, I would've chased her down and kicked her in the box...

there must be a mutant gene down here in Texas that makes them act like total idiots when they are behind the wheel because we have them up here in Wichita Falls too. How bad is the traffic down there in San Antonio, Kona? I am gonna be down there for 6 weeks starting next monday.. maybe we should have a mini cruise in some place while i am down!
