Has any one ever tried to put a elect.motor in there Vette to raise the convertible top??? I've never heard any thing about it on this forum.

It would take more than a simple motor. Multiple motors and some kind of logic, whether mechanical (linkages and switches) or electrical (software/firmware, controller, and sensors) would need to be used. Since the sequence of events in erecting and stowing the top are so wacky, this would be quite a job.
To erect, you need to open the deck and verify that the top clears before pulling the top up and out. After the top is up, you have ensure the back 1/3 is still up and clear before closing and latching the deck. At some point between those two, you need to open the three toggle latches at the front bow, so they don't interfere with the windshield moulding later. After confirming deck latch, lower the top and align, then latch, two-three catches for rear portion of top. Repeat for front section.
It would be cool as hell to see it done, but also very costly and development intensive. I don't have the knowledge necessary to fabricate all the linkages, let alone program the controller. It's certainly doable for someone well versed in PLC and precision fabrication.
How did the old Cadillacs do it? They had power soft tops back in the day... I suspect they had vinyl boots instead of hard decks, though. That clamshell adds two extra points of articulation and interference.
Well, I put my top up tonight on the way home because it was only 45 degree out. Yeah, the heat works, but I hate it when you see people running with their windows up and top down.
I also put it up when parked outside to keep bird poop and sun off the seats.
I also put it up when ever it's stored to keep the interior clean and to keep the top fabric in shape with minimal creases.
