I don't need a dist wrench for either of my old vehicles...
I second the call for wobble extensions and swivels. Add to that swivel sockets (even shorter than a short socket and a swivel), and extra short extensions. There have been times I needed one or the other and nothing else would do w/o pissing me off.
Also second the call for grabbers and magnetic retrievers for the odd nut dropped in the intake or inside the frame (I've done both).
"Gear wrenches" (ratcheting box end) have been a Godsend for me. Get the best ones you can afford.
I like hanging stuff also, this pic shows the board in the left bay, there's also one in the right bay and on the wall on the left (not visible) I like it a lot better than a tool trolley...I have several but am not using any of them

Man you guys are ****
I wish i could be that organized. I have drawer and plent of em, but i like my tools on wheels so i can drag em around to where i happen to be working.
Also add crows feet wrenches, they have come in handy more that once
I have a host of one time use tools as well.... or one time per car
pitman arm puller, large size sockets for the bolt on the bottom of the steering box, misc gear pullers, stuff like that
Those hanging from my compressor hard line on the ceiling? Those are all filled with different oils and lubes. For cutting, smearing..whatever. There's ATF, spindle oil, cutting fluid, isopropylalcohol and some other stuff in them. They are much easier to use than the large can you see near the rear wall. There's some oils and stuff in those and i have more in the other shed.
I have more vise grips than in that pic, there are a couple missing there and the welding clamps are lying under the bench never can have too many vise grips
I'm surprised no one noticed the us flagged stuff like boxing globes, *****..and what not

I find it still cheaper to buy a tool to use only once than to pay a gober at the shop who has no idea what a carb is....."I can't find it on my screen."

Actually I did notice the flag but the picture is not clear so I could not make out some of the other items hanging. I kind of got hung up on the Vice grips, plus the fact that not too long ago your garage was new and empty.

yeah and already it's cramped and somewhat too small...I can;t fuigure out how I did it w/ the old shed..somehow all that crap was crammed in there also and now w/ the new one it's full also and the attick is full of body aprts, tires, wheels and stuff. Too much crap...too little space

Also, do yourself a favor and get a blasting cabinet. Thank me later.
Might have to go get a set of the half moon wrenches.
The ratcheting wrenches I've got 2 sets of, one in metric and one in SAE. LOVE 'EM!!! Forgot to mention them, but they're really handy.
The ones i"ve got are open end on one and ratcheting on the other, which can be a godsend if you discover that you can't get a ratchet over the end of one due to clearance.
I've also got a blasting cabinet, $95 used ONCE, from a garage sale. Thing looks like a 55 gal oil drum turned on its side, saw the same brand through Grainger's and it was just under $1000. I'll agree, they're VERY helpful if you're trying to clean and remove varnish; I used it on our 3 SU carbs on our Jag to get rid of 3 years worth of gunk from the float bowls.
