You will reach the same point and be so proud of what you have done.
Many of us have been where you are. Don't loose sight of the goal.
Come to this forum for inspiration whenever you get down and feel like it will never end.

i'm just about done with my 1st engine build! my 68 has a 69 350 engine. i'm preparing to do the timing prior to the 1st start. i have an engine dress-up kit, holley carb, and hooker headers coming from summit. i need to figure out what all else is needed once i get the engine ready to turn. i'll also be ordering a new clutch system this week. i'll be hookin' up to a 4spd muncy (orig to car).
?, anything i should do to prep the trans?
also, i noticed what looks like a power cable coming out from under the right side motor mount that has been cut off...what is it? i have an assembly manual ordered but haven't received it yet.
thanks

Yesterday I pulled the steering column and instrument cluster.
Lifting the body after using a razor blade to strip the paint

The original Cross-Fire engine

Body dolly, thanks to the Forum Members for the specs!

The stripped frame being shipped off for sandblasting & powder coating

Body being shipped off for bodywork

Notice the emblem wholes filled. I am going with airbrushing the factory emblems prior to clearcoat

My Buddies Father owns the shop and I stop by everyday to check the progress. While they had the car off of the dolly to repair a rust hole on the passenger's side sill rail (they cut out the cancer and flush welded a metal plate), I wire brushed and then POR-15 all of the bottom metal parts. When I get it back from the bodywork, I will strip the underside and paint it

Dank Grey Metallic powdercoating looks sweet on the frame. Had the suspension parts done in gloss black, and I have done all of the smaller parts at home (brakes, brackets, bolts, ect.). ZZ4 crate motor with LOTS of billet and Edlebrock parts. Jet-Hot Sterling Silver headers, VB&P Full performance suspension
