Today while installing my new radiator I came across two wires with a burnt connector at the end. There are two wires one pink and one green and the connector is red. They run down the drivers side of the engine compartment. They end in the general vicinity of the transducer (which I found in a box of spare parts (also bad). Does anyone know if they go to the transducer? Don't ask about many facts this is my first (DREAM) Vette and I was a Jet Engine Mechanic not a Car Mechanic. This is my first stab at it. My father in law is my Crew Chief and Head Mechanic and he's not sure. I have an 82 Vette but the engine was changed out. Can anybody help?
Like the idea of the underhood light. I received my rebuilt transmission and installed it today My back-up lights are through the neutral safety switch and I already replaced it, it is located next to the shifter. If someone has an 82 could you look under the hood for me? My hood is not stock. More pictures to follow now that I can back it out of the garage. Thanks for the help everyone, and Willcox Corvette - if the offer is still on I will try again in the morning. I got an early start on the tranny and just now checked my messages. 7:05pm here.

Added: According to the 82 Corvette manual the underhood light is red and black, Thanks however, now I know what those two unused wires are.
The offer is still good! I did not like the schematic we had in the system so I cut one up and did a re-scan this morning for you... But from what I saw, I don't think the wires are a cruise issue. I'm sorry after scanning the new one; I did not have much time to look at it for you today. (We are in the middle of vacation time for employees and I was filling in for one today). But send the email and I'll get it off to you tomorrow.
