I was wondering how long it would take the mods to notice that she was wearing PAINT. Sorry to say, but paint does not count as clothes. I sure as heck wish it did, but it doesn't.

...in this thread i am not asking 'where is durango avatar?' (we know it has been censored... ) but 'where is durango avatar thread?', there was a promising thread going on abt the censorship of durango avatar, which suddenly just disappeared

did i miss something or there is something that, after nearly 2 years beeing here, i did not fully understand?

Well, we are NOT all adults. This is a family access website.
Perhaps you don't have young children and can't imagine the stuff they can see.

The mods are keeping this site clean .. .even if it means "nipping it in the bud".
George and Dave have explained this over and over in threads.
They do not have to justify the censorship, and they have to draw a line somewhere.
The line is somewhere near "suggestive" photos.

His avatar only suggested one thing ... that she should dip down and wash all that paint off.

my opinion is that who ever this guy was and whatever was his name, as long he was not hurting anybody in the forum, he's got the right to write whatever he wishes, and about his avatar beeing out of place because of the presumed nudity of the girl pictured..... it makes me laugh like a child (well, i'm not so old anyway).

it makes me also the matter that there must be somebody above us who says what's correct and what's not (after all are we all old farts or not ), i know there is forum laws to respect but laws can be critized and this is what i'm doing with much umility

after all this place is a commercial business (and not a school of rigor and streightness), simply there are sponsors that support the place because there is a profit return doing so and for advertising they pay the forum owners who rightly make a small sweet profit out of it, we visit and discuss and learn (like in my very case) and in exchange support (i've positively spent here about 8.500 usd) and consider the sellers that advertise here, it's an exchange of services that is usefull for everybody.

of course, there must be common and agreed rules to follow, but these should be designed on member's needs and values, and i do not think there were among these needs and values also the need to wipe away the durango painted nudity of his avatar nor the cancellation of his last thread.

well, this is my opinion any way, thanks for reading and have a good day
