Perhaps you don't have young children and can't imagine the stuff they can see.

The mods are keeping this site clean .. .even if it means "nipping it in the bud".
George and Dave have explained this over and over in threads.
They do not have to justify the censorship, and they have to draw a line somewhere.
The line is somewhere near "suggestive" photos.

His avatar only suggested one thing ... that she should dip down and wash all that paint off.
Hi NH, sorry i must disagree: to cancel a painted avatar does not mean to keep this place 'clean', at least i can understand that's a mods faithfull wish to keep it clean, but mods do not keep the BOOK of the TRUTHS, at least they can keep the notes and suggestions of the forum site owners.
censorship was never the cure for any society 'malfunction' and won't make of this place a cleaner place either, IF it needed to be cleaner, which i dont think because it's already the home of proper and well educated enthusiast people

Wow talk about reading into things a little too deep. "She should dip down & wash the paint off"...... Are you kidding me.

And to answer your question yes I have four children at home & we go to church on Sunday. Have you watched TV in the last decade. I'm not talking about late night I'm talking prime time and local channels not HBO. So I don't have imagine what they see I see it too. I wouldn't have used D-Boys avaitar myself but I wasn't offended by it either. & I never imagined "her dipping into the water to wash off the paint.

It's a privately owned site, not a democracy.

You come to my house and if you dont follow the rules, your out............ Period

We are all guests here ( perhaps excluding paying members)
Bandwith/server space/maintainance are not free. It cost quite a few dollars to accomodate well over 100,000 members even if only one third are active (I have no idea how many members are active)
I hope the owners of this site make a million dollars with their sponsors because there is not another forum like this anywhere as far as I have seen.

Bob, your house will still be your house without guests instead this site would be little more then nothing without members...

as you can see these are two different iussues altogether.

bob, it doesnt make a difference, one or one million, it would be still little more then nothing without members...

also, maybe this iussue went too far, my question in this thread was, originally, 'where is durango avatar thread' and not 'lets make this forum more democratic!!!
