Default Chrome headers

I've been thinking about getting Hooker side pipes. What are the advantages of chrome vs stainless steel vs ceramic coated???

Cost and durability.....

Stainless...most expensive and most durable. Stainless does not rust.
Chrome...not as expensive as Stainless, but the tubes will rust.
Ceramic...least expensive of the three and first to rust.

Default Stainless steel is not

I do not recommend stainless steel if you want that nice silver-gray color a year or two from now. Stainless steel headers to not stay stainless.

I am in the process of replacing my stainless steel headers with ceramic coated headers. The stainless steel develops a mottled golden brown color that darkens over time. The same happened on our son's car but not as dark.

Stainless steel headers are also very hot. I fried three sets of spark plug wires in just a couple thousand miles of normal driving. I doubt chrome headers would be any cooler.
