For anyone who's buying the bubble lights from Ecklers or so: unless your car is white, paint the rim of the white plastic buckets black before you install the taillights
I wish I knew that before installing my bubble lights!I have a Black car and the buckets do show!!

Wow, what a difference the new one's made. What color was your '74 originally? Mine used to be black as well, but we all know they never offered a black '74 Corvette. She looks sweet..............

Hey, I think I have that same angled pic, anyway it was originally red then competition yellow, and I had it painted black last year. I've spent double what I paid for it, and everyone notices my $16 tail-lights the most. I see we both have incorrect bumper covers (no split) and gaslid emblems. I don't usually like green but...Wow!

Hey man, it's pretty easy to pull those bubles and buckets out and trim and paint them. Won't take more than fifteen minutes to get them out.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah mine was originally metallic red as well. Good eye on the bumper cover. I went with both front and back fiberglass bumpers and didn't care much for the split even though it's specific to the '74. I always thought that the '74 should have a gas door emblem, so I added one. I went with emblems from '68 to '72 as I liked the looks of them more then the sunburst. I used to have the same bumper on mine when it was black. Yours reminds me of how mine used to look. You can't go wrong with a black Corvette, but you hardly ever see one is this type of green.

Here’s mine before:

Cool, I had mine glassed on hoping it wouldn't look too much like a bolt-on.

Well I'm not a yellow car person I guess, I'm more for a stealthy and mean look, though I did consider red for about a minute. Besides I think everyone wants to make their "new" 'vette their own, so there's always a list of things you want done that makes the car different from the P.O.

Me too...I love having a black Vette with chrome sidepiepes. It gets a lot of attention.

Yeah, I really had a hard time deciding if I would keep mine black or go bold with something new. I agree there's nothing like a black C3 with all that chrome. Here's before:

Curtis...you have an L88 hood. Do you have a fire blanket for it's underside or do they even make one? My L88 will be here Tue I think, and if they make a blanket for it I need to find it soon. Don't forget to check your PMs again and email me.

Just don't think of it as work...it's an improvement. Also a good chance to replace any older bulbs with new bright ones.
