Okay, I'm from Missouri and only live about two hours from St Louis. I got to go with the Cards baby! They won yesterday, so that puts them up 3 to 1. by the way, are Corvettes were born there!
One more win, and St. Louis will erupt. I just hope some of the winning fever makes it's way into the NFL team the Rams, as they need to feed off the loss of Seatle from last week. Go Cards, Go Rams...Boo Seatle.
Quote from supervete77 I hate when people have to cheat to win.
Have you forgotton the infamous Mark McGuire? With all the steroids he took, doesn't that make him one of the biggest cheaters in baseball? He cheated for years and refused to testify to the Grand Jury regarding steroid use in baseball. No matter who wins, the Tigers have had a great season. They could use some more experience I thinks. Maybe 7 games with a win tonight. GO TIGERS! later Gary
The Tigers have been committing suicide this entire series. The first World Series team EVER to have an error by the pitcher in each of the first four games of the series. I think Jeff Weaver is going to have his stuff together tonight, and it will be lights out for Detroit.
My head is still killing me from last night...a friend bought me a shot at Paddy O's after the game, and I think it had something cranberry-flavored in it.

the tigers are just shooting themselves in the foot, time after time.
the basepaths, on the field, everywhere.
i really thought they had a shot to sweep, being an al fan, i was hoping the tigers won, but truth be known, i'd like the cardinals to do it.
especially after that incredible series against the mets.
and i see again, there is no love lost for my yankees.

although in years past, they may have been considered one.
I got nothing against the Chargers, but for the Rams to take advantage of the Seahawk's loss last week, the Rams must win tomorrow, and the Chefs must win, beating the Seahawks again.

No I haven't forgotten McGuire, another cheater along with the rest of them. He should be struck from the record books along with Sosa and Bonds, and Maris' and Ruth's records should still stand. Then again Mark McGuire never took a Cameraman's camera from him and threw it to the ground because he had a bug up his *** that day, either. I don't dislike the Tigers for beating the Yankees, I just don't like Kenny Rogers and his arrogant demeanor. He sucked with both the Yankees and the Mets, and up until the playoffs, he sucked with the Tigers too. I guess I grew up in different era where the the was no such thing as steriods, just guys like Mickey Mantle playing drunk half the time setting records that players today are trying to break and need steriods to try and do so. Just my .02 cents.
Didn't they just have different kinds of performance enhancing drugs back then? Nothing as sophisticated or chemically complicated, but it's still altering one's physical abilities with a substance. It was just harder to see, and not put in a media system that we have today. Am I way off...I seem to remember an article in Time about just that bery thing a year or so ago.
