who has the best rebuilt trailing arm assemblys?
is there anyone on this forum that does rebuilding?
i am restoring a 73 and need both sides done
I would rather pay someone here thats reputable than
get some unknown rebuilds with ? specs and ? bearings.
thanks
Several members on here rebuild trailing arms and do incredible work. Check with Mike (Tracdogg2), Gary (gtr1999) and Van Steel. I hope I didn't forget anyone?
BTW, if you want to see what is involved, check out my webpage (I did my own rebuild). But a pro job is more than I did. I've had a look at Mike's work and he fully boxes the arms, powder coats, blueprints the spindle support and so on. Much more than what I did.
I exchanged my old rusty trailing arms for a set of Van Steel rebuilt arms. Your core refund will vary depending upon how rebuildable the cores are. Mine had 1 spindle that was out of spec and one arm was slightly bent but from the way the arms looked when I took them off I was suprised that they gave me any core refund!
The rebuilt arms are excellent quality and you would be hard pressed to tell them from new.
thanks to all the replys ..I bought a pair that have all new parts
from a person that bought them then sold car before he installed them. they were built by fast corvette.
I hope that they are trouble free
thanks again
I saved about 400 bucks from the price at fastcorvette website
